Way back in 2002, Captain M. Stanshall, aka Stinker, was a regular contributor to the letters’ page of a local Leigh-on-Sea rag. Week after week he would grapple with the thorny issues of the day in his celebrated series of correspondence with the Leigh Times.

Fast forward four years and the Captain’s now living in France.
